She later moved to Japan to pursue a career as an idol and actress. Shiori Kutsuna made her film debut in 2009 with the Japanese movie Guardian Angel, directed by Sato Yuichi. In 2011, actress Kutsuna graduated from Harikoshi High School. It was very difficult for her to attend classes because of her work in dramas. So in 2013, she dropped out of college before starting her third year in the interest of her career.
