Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is an Indian film actress. She was born on 1 November 1973 in Mangalore, Karnataka, India to Krishnaraj Rai and Brindya Rai. She entered the modeling career in 1991 by winning an international supermodel competition organized by Ford. Aishwarya Rai made her acting debut in the 1997 Tamil biographical political drama film Iruvar.
