Kangana Ranaut (age: 34 years) is an Indian film actress, writer and director. She was born into a Rajput family on 23 March 1987 in Bhambla, Mandi District, Himachal Pradesh, India. Prior to filming, Kangana worked with the Amita Theater Group in Delhi as a theme theater actor. Her first play was Girish Karnad’s Taledanda (Rakt-Kalyan). In addition, she performed for Arvind Gaur’s workshop at the India Habitat Center. Kangana Ranaut made her film debut in 2006 with the romantic thriller film Gangster, alongside Shiney Ahuja and Emraan Hashmi, directed by Anurag Basu. In 2020, the Government of India honoured her with the Padma Shri, the country’s fourth highest civilian award.

- Kangana was a very intelligent student in school life and she wanted to be a doctor. As a science student, Kangana Ranaut studied for about 18 hours a day and achieved 90% in her intermediate. But when Kangana failed to clear her pre-medical, she dropped out of school and left her hometown.
- Kangana was kicked out of the house when she told her family that she wanted to enter the world of glamor.
- She was shooting a catalog when she went to audition for the movie ‘Gangster’. Mahesh Bhatt said that “she is very young in this character” and chose Chitrangada Singh. Later, she received a call that she had been selected because Chitrangada was not comfortable with outdoor shoots.
- In 2007, Digital Bolispice magazine ranked Kangana 3rd on the “Top 10 Actresses of 2006” list.
